Pumpkins, Hats and Somersaults!

Check out what's on TV. Imagine that!

Check out the somersault, not the messy laundry room!

It was a busy weekend at the Anderson household! Friday evening, Sheila had a Girls Night Out with the BH Special Ed ladies. What a good time!

Saturday morning came rather quickly, especially since RJ had to be at the school before 8:00 am to take the ACT test. Neighbor Bette's granddaughters brought Cecilia a pumpkin Saturday afternoon.

Sunday evening the family attended the annual soup, sandwich and pie supper in Lake City. Afterwards, Cecilia busied herself trying on RJ's hats and doing somersaults!

It should be a short week, with conferences Monday evening, in-service Thursday and NO SCHOOL Friday. Yippee!!

Fall Photos Just in Time

It is a good thing I took some fall photos last night, before the torrential rain began! Here is Ceci playing outside on a nice fall evening!

Surprise Birthday Fun

On Saturday, Wendell, Cecilia and I went to Aberdeen for Wendell's brother Greg's surprise birthday party. We had a nice time visiting with the family and Cecilia had fun playing with her cousins. We saw lots of pheasant hunters on the way to Aberdeen. We got home in time to watch Sarah Palin on SNL. It was pretty funny. By then, Cecila was over-tired, so when RJ and Luke showed up at 11:30 pm with seven girls, she was in top performance! After entertaining the group, she finally went to bed at 12:15 or so. We'll see how that messes with her sleep schedule!

On Sunday, Wendell went trucking. I taught CCD and finished up some housework. Can't believe it is Monday already!

Cecilia loves putting things on her head. Don't ask me why. Yes, she is a good eater but can make a huge mess!

Fun at the birthday party!

Obaman Rally in STL

I happened to see this story on CNN of a rally for Barack Obama in St Louis on Saturday and found the pic at cnn.com. There were over 100,000 people there! RJ said it looked like the 4th of July fireworks display he has attended in the past. It would have been fun to be there!!

Homecoming Week

Tuesday night was coronation at Britton-Hecla. RJ's friend's Luke and Tyra were crowned Homecoming King and Queen. Congrats to both of them! The theme was "Rodeo" and the coronation program was entertaining to say the least. Here are a few more pics of us from that night. Have a good chilly weekend!

The Morning After

With every successful wedding comes the morning after! Wendell, RJ and I gave Tim A. and his brother-in-law a ride to get their cars. Needless to say, the gate to the ski park was locked, so we had to take matters into our own hands! The pictures tell the story!

Tim says, "I think we can make it." The planning begins.

"Right. No left. Straight. You're good!"

"You've got 5 on the left. You've got 3 on the right".

Life is an adventure!

A Beautiful Weekend for a Wedding

This weekend, Wendell, RJ and I attended my friend Carrie's sister's wedding in Sioux Falls. Kristi and Justin got married at Great Bear Ski Lodge. The wedding was outside in a beautiful clearing. The weather was gorgeous and it was fun to watch the kids roll down the ski hill. Kristi was a beautiful bride! It was fun to catch up with some of her friends and Carrie's family. Never a dull moment with the Azures and the Henrichsens as you can see below and on my next post!
