A Great Weekend!

IS THIS THE CUTEST PICTURE EVER, OR WHAT????

We survived another busy weekend, starting with the Bret Michaels (of Poison) concert at the Dakota Magic. Lacey, Carrie A., Michelle B. and Lexy S. attended. It was a lot of fun! He was a great performer, and a total bs-er...no wonder he is so successful. I will post some pics, and hopefully Lexy will share some of hers.

Sheila & Michelle

Saturday we hung out, cleaned and then attended the Buckhorn Rodeo. I hadn't been to the rodeo in quite a few years. It was a nice evening and Ceci had fun running around. Thought I would give her some exposure to life events, but she didn't care too much about the bucking broncs and bulls! I had to cover my eyes a few times! Ugh! I don't know how those bull riders do it!

I know they are hard to see---need better zoom---riders at the rodeo at dusk.

Sunday we cleaned again, and then we went to our property in the country east of Britton. I want to plant a garden there, so Wendell tilled and I raked sod. What a blast! Hopefully everything grows!

RJ, Sheila and Wendell

Ceci and all the kids had a blast!

I teased Wendell that he looked like a priest! Here he is, enjoying a cold one after it was all done!

Yes, we survived! RJ is officially a graduate of Britton-Hecla High School! Maybe the first black student to have graduated from our school? The graduation ceremony was really nice and RJ's reception went well. Thank you to all friends and family who attended and sent cards and gifts! I wish I could have gotten to talk to more people, but it was busy!! RJ's uncle and granny attended the ceremony-we were sure glad they could come.

RJ is officially going to Lindenwood University this fall. Basketball is up in the air, literally, and Mom is really hoping he gets to play--I'm not ready to quit watching him play yet! But, that is up to him and the coach. He is very excited to leave the nest and move to the big city! RJ is currently working at Beadle Nursery doing landscaping tasks, but is not thrilled about getting up at 5:30 am and working for 12 hours a day--we will see how that goes.

I am finishing up at school and looking forward to a summer filled with days at the pool with Ceci, long runs in the evenings, a trip to D.C. later in June and a 20 (gasp!) year reunion in July. Enjoy the pics and have a great summer!!

Graduation Festivities are Underway

We just got home from RJ's baccalaureate services and senior supper. It was a nice evening. We got to watch the seniors 4th grade play which was hilarious and a senior video which was both hilarious and sad. Kindergarten teacher Mary Zuehlke read the students "Oh the Places You Will Go." Wish me luck in getting through the next few days!!!

The Week Before Graduation

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOMS!!!!!
Boy, there are so many things I should be doing besides blogging, but I am addicted! RJ has finally made a college choice--he will be attending Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, which is just outside of St. Louis. He plans to major in sports marketing, and may play basketball.

His mother is busy preparing for graduation, aka, pulling her hair out! What a big day for which to prepare! Carrie Azure came to help on Saturday. We washed windows and cleaned the garage. Wendell is really the one who is pulling out his hair, having to live with me!

Celine watched Cecilia and they had a blast. Today we went to Aberdeen for last minute shopping and Mother's Day dinner at McDonalds (Ceci's favorite).

Wish me luck in getting through the week!!

Fun with stickers!

Ceci LOVES puzzles. We do them over, and over, and over..........

Busy Weekend and More Fun to Come!!

We had a busy weekend! We are frantically preparing for RJ's fast-approaching graduation!! The days are going way too fast! Here is a bit of everything--my brain is scattered--can't even remember what I was going to post until I start searching for pictures! Happy Spring!!

OK, now I remember what else we did this weekend. We spent a great deal of the weekend cleaning the garage. Then on Sunday we had a Mother/Daughter Senior Tea and our church hosted a supper for seniors. Enjoy the pics!!!
Jerry and Anna Anderson's grandson Bo visited Ceci and I this weekend. They had a great time playing!

KSFY H1N1 Report

I almost made it on TV! I was in the the lunchroom as they were shooting the film. It was an interesting day at school! Hopefully we all stay safe and healthy!

H1N1 Precautions at Britton-Hecla

As you have probably all heard, Britton has a person who possibly has the H1N1 virus. Kelo and KSFY were both at the school on Friday--take a look for yourself!
